View source for Physics and Astronomy Labs/Graphical integration of uniform acceleration

In this lab we will use vector to graphically find the motion associated with uniform acceleration.  For students who develop this lab, it is also a lesson on creating and understanding the svg files preferred by Wikiversity and its sisters.

Open up Inkscape and create an initial velocity vector, called <math>\vec v_0</math> and an "acceleration" vector called <math>\vec a\Delta t</math> (note that the latter is actually acceleration time a short time, <math>\Delta t</math>.

*Let <math>\vec r_0</math> represent the location of the particle at <math>t = 0</math>, which is at the tail of <math>\vec v_0</math>.  
*Let <math>\vec r_1</math> = <math>\vec v_0\Delta t</math>.
