In this lab we will use vector to graphically find the motion associated with uniform acceleration. For students who develop this lab, it is also a lesson on creating and understanding the svg files preferred by Wikiversity and its sisters.

Open up Inkscape and create an initial velocity vector, called v0 and an "acceleration" vector called aΔt (note that the latter is actually acceleration time a short time, Δt.

  • Let r0 represent the location of the particle at t=0, which is at the tail of v0.
  • Let r1 = v0Δt.
