Let R be a ring. The canonical localizing system Scl on R is defined as the strongest localizing [[../SimilarityAndAnalogousSystemsDynamicAdjointnessAndTopologicalEquivalence/|system]] F on R , such that R is F-closed.

Note that there is a localizing subcategory that contains all strongest localizing systems F.
