English: This diagram is highly symbolic. In addition to detecting the polarization, the observer must also record the detection of the photon regardless of whether it was passed or blocked. The distance between the observers and source of the entangled photons must be large enough that the choice of filter orientation can be made before information traveling at the speed of light could reach the atom. |
